Offshore floating wind turbines Eoliennes Groix & Belle Île

The Groix & Belle-Île project is a pilot to demonstrate the potential inherent to the new technology of floating offshore wind turbines. EOLFI is part of a consortium that is developing the 28.5 MW Groix & Belle-Île pilot floating wind farm off the coast of Brittany (France). BLIX Consultancy has been coordinating the wind turbine package management on behalf of EOLFI.

Floating wind turbines anchored to the seabed are currently technologically well advanced. The project will comprise three MHI Vestas 9.5 MW turbines installed about 22 kilometers off the French coast. BLIX has been responsible for the technical and commercial negotiation of the WTG Turbine Supply Agreement.
