BLIX achieves ISO 9001:2015 certificate
Improvement of quality is essential, but what is quality?
On the 24th of April 2017 BLIX was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certificate. ISO is the international standard for quality management systems.
The standard prescribes guidelines to manage the quality of corporate processes, for example the process of setting up and finalising offers based on a client request, but also the process for executing a project – from start to finish. How is quality guaranteed? And how is continuous improvement guaranteed? These were the essential questions that we started working on, which resulted in the award of the desirable ISO certificate.
Why would a company want to become ISO 9001 certified? There is plenty of work, clients are satisfied and everything is running smoothly. Manon Dikhoff, general manager of BLIX: “Since the start in 2009 BLIX is all about quality. Since the first strategy meetings, the BLIX team realised the importance of offering quality to the client. And that never changed. In fact, quality took an increasingly important role and we kept raising the bar.”
When we started setting up a quality management system in 2015 (in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008), we discovered that we were already quite far in terms of our quality management. Continuous improvement of work processes, products, employees, and all that with the client on top of our minds, were an important part of our work. Evaluations with clients regarding the quality of our work showed high scores. For many clients it was even a reason to rehire BLIX after the initial project.
The focus for continuous improvement is by now imbedded in our corporate culture. And that benefits the quality of the service we provide our clients. We mainly want to serve our customers as well as possible. To ultimately accelerate the energy transition, because that is our aim.
